Migrant Justice on both sides of the Atlantic
Posted Mon, 04/06/2026 - 9:09am
This week, Migrant Justice is taking action for Milk with Dignity on both sides of the Atlantic. A delegation is currently in the Netherlands, home of Hannaford Supermarket’s parent company Ahold Delhaize. And on Tuesday April 7th, another group will pay a visit to the headquarters of Ahold’s operations in the United States.
Tuesday’s event at the Ahold USA headquarters will mark the first time that Migrant Justice has taken action at the Quincy, MA offices. Farmworkers and allies will hold a press conference to demand that Ahold end the systemic human rights violations in its dairy supply chain.
April 7th at 1pm: join us in Quincy at the Ahold USA offices to demand Milk with Dignity!

The press conference in Massachusetts is a precursor to a packed week of activities in the Netherlands. Migrant Justice will once again participate in Ahold’s annual meeting of shareholders, using proxy votes from allied investors to gain access to the meeting. Directly addressing Ahold executives and board members, we will share the stories of dairy workers enduring abuses on farms supplying Hannaford Supermarket, denounce Hannaford’s false solutions, and urge the company to take action by joining Milk with Dignity.
In the days before and after the shareholder meeting, Migrant Justice will tour the country, holding a number of meetings, presentations, workshops, assemblies, and actions. We will continue to build transnational solidarity with labor unions, academics, agroecology activists, pension funds, and company shareholders to increase the pressure on Ahold. And we will share updates throughout the week as events progress.
