Dear friends of Migrant Justice,

S-238, a roadmap for VT to issue driver's licenses and IDs regardless of immigration status, passed with near unanimous support on the House Floor today!

WITH YOUR HELP, AND LED BY FARM WORKERS AND FARMERS, WE HAVE MADE MAJOR STRIDES ON THIS DRIVE TOWARDS HUMAN RIGHTS FOR ALL IN VT! Most importantly, farm workers, farmers and allies are organzing to move Vermont to recognize the ineherent human rights and dignity of all our neighbors regardless of their immigration status. S-238 creates a study committee charged with introducing legislation in 2013 to create access to driver's licenses and ID regardless of immigration status and we feel its a great roadmap to get us there!

BUT THIS IS JUST THE FIRST STEP. WE NEED TO KEEP THE MOMENTUM ROLLING!

1) Join us on 4/18 from 9am-1:30pm for our 2nd State House Driving Towards Human Rights Day. Let's plant the seed and build a movement for driver licenses for next session!

* 9am-1pm grassroots education, teach-in and law maker education; followed by 1pm Victory rally on the State House Steps!
