Don't cross the picket line! Milk with Dignity Month of Action Video

This past fall, dairy workers led over a dozen pickets of Hannaford Supermarkets around the region to demand Milk with Dignity. Hundreds of allies joined the actions, marching, chanting, and adding their voices to immigrant farmworkers’ call for human rights and economic justice. The new video showcases the inspiring campaign to expand the successful Milk with Dignity Program.

October’s Month of Action demonstrated Migrant Justice’s power and potential. Since the organization was founded following the 2009 death of dairy worker José Obeth, Migrant Justice has created a space for the immigrant community in Vermont – and beyond – to come together, develop its own leadership, and chart a path forward. This grassroots structure has allowed allies to build relationships of solidarity; rather than acts of charity that simply alleviate suffering, allies can support an organized community fighting to change the unjust conditions that cause suffering.

• Stopping immigration detentions, deportations, and the separation of families

The return of the Trump administration will bring additional challenges to Migrant Justice’s community, as attacks on immigrants increase and the rights that we have won are put at risk.
