These are some of the ways that volunteers can help VTMFSP right now:

General Volunteer: Folks willing to help out in general whether that be occasional data entry, stuffing envelopes, or making phone calls.

Transportation: We are building, training and organizing a network of drivers in order to support farmworkers' transportation needs.

Organizing: We are working to assist farmworkers to organize and defend their own rights. We also need your help to build and activate a state-wide solidarity network to organize locally, nationally, and internationally to build a creative movement in support of immigrant rights and food system justice.

Spanish Speakers:  We have occasional need for translators to translate in person or on the phone or to translate documents and other resources. Also, Spanish speakers (who may not be capable of translating) are helpful to assist scheduling appointments and acting in key support roles.

Independent Media:  We support a group of farmworkers to produce a Spanish language newsletters. Additionally, we seek to support workers' efforts to communicate, organize and speak for themselves through the use of appropriate technologies whether text messaging, internet, video, audio or other creative media.

Education and Training:  We need support to develop educational and training programs so whether you are a public school teacher looking to bring the topic of migration into your classroom; or would be interested in working with us to develop popular education, community media or cultural competency educational projects please let us know.

Advocacy:  Though we seek first to work with workers to organize and represent themselves there are occasions when advocates and allies are needed to accompany workers through a legal process, help fill out paper work, or help workers negotiate various barriers to access community resources.

Health Support:  Whether you are a health care provider, health educator, or experienced health care advocate or want to become one.

Other:  We might need help ranging from volunteer bookkeepers to volunteer artists. Let us know your skills and interests and how you think they might contribute to our work.

The information you provide will NOT be shared with any third party organisations.

Thank you for supporting our work!
