We are driving towards human rights, justice and equality in Vermont with S-238! With your support, migrant workers, farmers and allies are joining together for the first time in our state’s history to organize for real change.
And our work is paying off: The legislature passed a road map for drivers licenses and IDs for VT's migrant workers. great recap of the campaign here.
Key to this huge step forward was the successful State House action day we held on March 14th, when more than 50 workers, farmers, priests, students and community allies joined under one voice: We support S.238. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who offered rides, took pictures, found legislators and set up meetings!
But our work has just started. Let's thank legislators for passing this roadmap, and let's gather support for the actual drivers' license bill!

Come to the State House in Montpelier to show your Representatives that access to drivers licenses and IDs, regardless of immigration status, is good for all Vermonters.
Program:
9-10 registration, orientation (who are your reps?) coffee w/ legislators
10-10:30 "The drive towards Justice continues" Teach-in & Updates: Why drivers licenses? How did we pass s.238? How do we win next year?
10:30 - 11:30 Training: Who are my House Reps? How do I talk with them about drivers licenses?
11:30 - 1pm Let’s drive the conversation on licenses! meet with Representatives
1pm - Closing rally and group photo on STATE HOUSE STEPS!
